Paquito D'Rivera at New Jersey City University

On Tuesday April 12, Paquito D'Rivera, 14-time Grammy winner and author of Letters to Yeyito: Lessons from a Life in Music, will appear at New Jersey City University in an installment of the Two on One event series, co-hosted by music curator Arnold Jay Smith and Professor Richard Lowenthal. The focus will be on D'Rivera's music, Cuba, and his new musical memoir. A reception and book signing will follow.

Arnold Jay Smith is an adjunct professor of jazz history at New Jersey City University. He is formerly writer of the OctoJAZZarians column for Jazz.com and former treasurer of the JJA.

Richard Lowenthal is a professor of music and jazz history at New Jersey City University. He conducts the NJCU Alumni Jazz Big Band.
