Ariel Dorfman
Ariel Dorfman is a Chilean author whose books have been translated into more than fifty languages, and his plays, including Death and the Maiden, which was made into a feature film (1991), have been produced in over one hundred countries. His writing frequently appears in the New York Times, The Nation, and many other papers internationally. His most recent books are Cautivos (2020), a novel about Cervantes, and The Rabbits’ Rebellion (2020), a story for children and adults. He and his wife Angélica divide their time between their native Chile and Durham, North Carolina, where he is Distinguished Emeritus Professor at Duke University.
