Claire Messud
Claire Messud is the author of numerous novels, including The Emperor’s Children, The Woman Upstairs and, most recently, The Burning Girl. Her book of essays Kant’s Little Prussian Head and Other Reasons Why I Write: An Autobiography in Essays will be published in 2020. A frequent contributor to the New York Review of Books and the New York Times Book Review, she teaches creative writing at Harvard University, and lives with her family in Cambridge, MA.
