Korean K9 Rescue is a non-profit, No-Kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization based in Queens, New York City and South Korea. Their facility in Bundang, South Korea houses dogs rescued from dog meat farms, high kill shelters, slaughterhouses, and strays. They provide vaccinations, carry out health screenings, and train the dogs to develop a steady routine and build trust. The dogs are then transported to NYC to find their forever homes.
RISE by Sundara Fund supports and empowers early stage female entrepreneurs working in water, sanitation, and hygiene. They provide mentorship, business education, seed funding, and access to a network of experts; their entrepreneurs provide sustainable solutions to problems in their own communities; all of which leads to a healthier, safer, and brighter world.
Restless Books is an independent, nonprofit publisher dedicated to championing essential voices from around the world whose stories speak to us across linguistic and cultural borders. In their own words, “we seek extraordinary international literature for adults and young readers that feeds our restlessness: our hunger for new perspectives, passion for other cultures and languages, and eagerness to explore beyond the confines of the familiar.” Restless Books aims to celebrate immigrant writing and bring literature to underserved communities.
