György Spiró at Edinburgh International Book Festival

On Monday August 29, György Spiró, author of Captivity, will appear at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in an event with Paul Kingsnorth, author of The Wake.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival began in 1983 and is now a key event in the August Festival season, celebrated annually in Scotland's capital city. Biennial at first, the Book Festival became a yearly celebration in 1997.

Paul Kingsnorth is a former journalist and deputy editor of The Ecologist magazine who has won several awards for his poetry and essays. He is also the author of two works of nonfiction. In 2009, he cofounded the Dark Mountain Project, an international network of writers, artists, and thinkers in search of new stories for troubled times.
