Hubert Haddad
Hubert Haddad is a French prize-winning poet, playwright, and writer. Four of his novels have been translated into English: Palestine (2014), which won the Prix des cinq continents de la Francophonie; Opium Poppy (2015); Rochester Knockings: A Novel of the Fox Sisters (2015); and Desirable Body (2018). A pioneer of creative writing workshops since the 1970s, he taught in high schools, universities, prisons, and community centers. Since 2016 he has been chief editor of the literary magazine Apulée, which gathers French-speaking authors from all over the world as well international authors and poets. His latest novel published in French is Un monstre et un chaos (2019).
