Lynne Tillman
Lynne Tillman is the author of many works of fiction and nonfiction including The Velvet Years: Warhol’s Factory 1965–1967 (1995), with photographs by Stephen Shore, No Lease on Life (1998), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Fiction, and American Genius, A Comedy (2019), and What Would Lynne Tillman Do? (2014), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism. The recipient of a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship and a Creative Capital / Andy Warhol Arts Writer Fellowship, Tillman is Professor/Writer-in-Residence in the Department of English at the University of Albany. She lives in Manhattan with bass player David Hofstra.
