VICE drops an exclusive excerpt of Jodorowsky memoir

Filmmaker, Tarot master, and writer Alejandro Jodorowsky's "psychomagical" memoir Where the Bird Sings Best is forthcoming from Restless Books and we couldn't be more excited to see an excerpt from the book in the latest issue of VICE, marking the first time that the legendary artist's epic autobiography has appeared in English.

The excerpt is accompanied by gorgeous illustrations from the Mexican graphic artist Eko, who also illustrated our recently released graphic novel Pancho Villa Takes Zacatecas. In addition to releasing the excerpt, VICE has also named Jodorowsky a "psychomagic guru" and their Employee of the Month. Chévere.

Stay tuned for the full book, which is available for pre-order now, and happy weekend from Restless!
