Join Yishai Sarid, author of The Memory Monster, in conversation with Alex Stein of The Tel Aviv Review of Books.
Recently named a New York Times Editors’ Choice selection, The Memory Monster confronts difficult questions that are all too relevant to Israel and the world today: How do we process human brutality? What makes us choose sides in conflict? How do we honor the memory of horror without becoming consumed by it?
In this special Zoom event, we'll discuss the origins of this challenging novel, the difficulties of writing about the Holocaust, and how the novel has been received in Israel.
When: Wednesday, November 18 at 2 pm ET
Where: The Tel Aviv Review of Books via Zoom
The event will also be broadcast live through the Jerusalism Facebook Page.
