Join Ilan Stavans at the Miami Book Fair for a discussion of the indelible role Yiddish has played in American history and culture, past and present. Stavans will be in conversation with illustrator and cartoonist Ben Katchor, author of The Dairy Restaurant; Boris Fishman will moderate. Stavans’s anthology How Yiddish Changed America and How America Changed Yiddish, co-edited with Josh Lambert, has been praised as “an impressive collection of essays, fiction, drama, memoir, poetry, cartoons, and interviews….
