Join The City of Good Death author Priyanka Champaneri in conversation with Lisa Carey at Longfellow Books on April 22.

Priyanka’s transcendent debut, winner of the Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing, immerses us in India’s holy city of Banaras, where pilgrims go to die a good death and be released from the cycle of reincarnation. Priyanka Champaneri received her MFA in creative writing from George Mason University and has been a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts numerous times. She received the 2018 Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing for The City of Good Death, her first novel.

Lisa Carey is the author of The Mermaids SingingIn the Country of the Young, and Love in the Asylum. She lived in Ireland for five years and now resides in Portland, Maine, with her husband and their son.
