IMMIGRANT PRIZE–WINNERS SPEAK AT AMHERST LITFEST

March 10, 2022 in Events, Video

We were thrilled to celebrate Amherst College’s LitFest 2022’s with an exciting author talk featuring the Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing winners Deepak Unnikrishnan, Grace Talusan, and Ani Gjika in collaboration with The Common. The discussion was moderated by Restless Books publisher, Ilan Stavans.

Now in its seventh year, Amherst’s annual LitFest brings together distinguished authors and editors to discuss tall things literary with panels on everything from fiction and nonfiction to poetry and spoken-word performance.

This year’s festival lineup also included Pulitzer Prize winners Natalie Diaz and Viet Thanh Nguyen; 2021 National Book Award nominees Katie Kitamura and Elizabeth McCracken.

In case you missed the live event, you can watch the Restless Panel, “(Im)migration, “ below until May 3rd!
